Bio

Over the years, I’ve worked as a features writer, copy writer, tutor, and adjunct instructor, but deep inside I’m a reader searching for the next great story.  In addition to my novel, The Button Collector, my fiction has appeared in a variety of publications, including the literary journal Apalachee Review, the e-zine Rose & Thorn, Prime Number Magazine, and the children’s magazine Ladybug.  My non-fiction work includes newspaper and magazine articles as well as commercial writing for businesses and advertising agencies.  I’m a native of Clemson, South Carolina, and earned degrees in English from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The University of Delaware. For the last 30 years, I’ve lived with my family in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.  Since 2016, I’ve been using this platform to do what I can to turn this beautiful purple state blue.
